Last night at Mimmy and Pops as a family of 12

We had our dinner at Mimmy and Pops' house Tuesday night. It was our last night together before Baby Sam gets here!
This pic is out of order...Brady snagging a bite of Tori's ice cream while she was playing.

The girls got an early birthday present...they have loved their new table and chairs this week

We just want to color, draw, and read

The Three Amigos...these guys are trouble...actually it's usually Macey and Brady that team up together and Madison usually sticks with Tori...fun to watch different relationships even at such a young age.

What's wrong with this picture...the Dad's lounging in chairs while Uncle D plays with all the kids...they are in the background running down the hill

Jeff contemplating maybe getting up

No, I think Uncle D's got it under control

I think she is officially ready for Sam to come out...her food tray is just right

Reese and Rylee's First Birthday!

Reese and Rylee turned one last weekend. They are so cute, and it was a great day for a party. The girls had so much fun and played so hard.

Madison loved the wheelbarrow

Frances' 6th Birthday

We went to Brent and Julie's house for Frances' 6th birthday last night. She really enjoyed all the gifts, and the girls love to hang out with their big cousins. Thanks for having us for dinner and Happy Birthday Frances!

This is what they were doing in the bathroom while I was showering the other day. Madison tracing Macey's feet.

Loving her guitar and microphone

This is about as active as Macey got. She was totally exhausted from her first week at school. Her eyes have been glazed over for 3 days now. She went to bed at 7:25 last night which is early for them. She was up at her normal 5:30 though, had her milk and went back to sleep for a little while--I was hoping she would sleep in. I'm hoping for a good nap today.

Frances blowing her candles. I missed her actually blowing them out--I wasn't ready for her to do it as soon as Julie got them lit--I was waiting for the song..so we had to recreate the moment.

Thoroughly enjoying the cookie cake

Girls' First Day of School!

Madison and Macey started preschool yesterday at Harpeth Hills. They are in the Young Two's class and are two of the youngest ones. I am very excited about it, and it will be good for all three of us. It was nice to run some errands and eat a nice leisurlely lunch. I was ready to get them by 2:00 though. My big girl Maddie Leigh ready to go to school. She had a great first day; walked into the room and immediately started coloring with the purple crayon, of course--her favorite color right now. Didn't cry at all. She told me about everything she did all the way home--she colored, sang a song, ready a story, played on the playground, went night night with Pooh and "Nee" (her paci), and said "Maddie go back to school." So, I think she liked it, we'll see how tomorrow goes. I'm not sure she talked much at school though because she didn't stop talking from the time I picked her up until she went to bed except for the hour nap she took as soon as she got home.

Telling Sissy to come get her picture taken

My sweet little Mace. She marched right into the classroom trying to figure out what to do first. I got a call, however, about halfway through the day that she cried on and off during the day. She fell asleep in Music class, and the teacher was just holding her a lot. Tori told Natalie she saw Madison & Macey in the hall and that Macey was crying for Mommy. I knew she would have a harder time (she is very clingy to me), but I know she'll get it soon--she loves Sunday school now and we had the same transition period. She had been telling me for weeks that she wasn't going to cry in school. As soon as they loaded her up and we drove off, she said "I cried." I told her it was o.k. and asked her why she cried and she said "Mommy Bye Bye." So, I'm trying to reassure her that Mommy will go bye bye for a little while so she can play, but Mommy will always come back to get her.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great Labor Day weekend. Three-day weekend summer holidays are some of my very favorite holidays. We started off the weekend with our friends Reese, Rylee, Jarrod, and Lia coming over to play Friday night. Then we spent Saturday at my parents' house swimming and eating lunch. Monday, we went to my aunt Kay's house with the whole family and got to play with all the cousins. It was a great end to summer, and school starts tomorrow!!!!

Madison was a little more hesitant

Madison being thrown--we just kept missing her in the air on the camera and she didn't want to do it anymore

Saturday night the girls roasted their first marshmellows. Jeff built a fire in our pit on the deck....Madison thoroughly enjoyed the finished product.

Daddy and Madison enjoying their smores (minus the chocolate)

"I'm done, clean hands!" is what she was saying here...she does not like to be dirty

Wanting her hands wiped

How Macey spent the majority of the activity...she did not appreciate having to have Daddy help her hold the stick to cook her marshmellow

Finally got her to try a bite

We finally convinced her to roast again with Daddy

Still resisting the help a little...as you can see the fire is basically out by now

Jeff had his dad's truck all weekend filling in holes with dirt. The girls had a blast playing in Papa's truck every day

Madison taking Macey for a spin...look at that belly :)
