Labor Day Weekend

We had a great Labor Day weekend. Three-day weekend summer holidays are some of my very favorite holidays. We started off the weekend with our friends Reese, Rylee, Jarrod, and Lia coming over to play Friday night. Then we spent Saturday at my parents' house swimming and eating lunch. Monday, we went to my aunt Kay's house with the whole family and got to play with all the cousins. It was a great end to summer, and school starts tomorrow!!!!

Reese, Rylee, Madison in the kitchen, and Macey

Reese

Madison hugging Reese--it doesn't look it, but it was actually a gentle hug

Rylee and Reese playing with the train

Macey about to be thrown by Daddy

At the height of the throw

Madison was a little more hesitant

Madison being thrown--we just kept missing her in the air on the camera and she didn't want to do it anymore

Saturday night the girls roasted their first marshmellows. Jeff built a fire in our pit on the deck....Madison thoroughly enjoyed the finished product.

Daddy and Madison enjoying their smores (minus the chocolate)

"I'm done, clean hands!" is what she was saying here...she does not like to be dirty

Wanting her hands wiped

How Macey spent the majority of the activity...she did not appreciate having to have Daddy help her hold the stick to cook her marshmellow

Finally got her to try a bite

We finally convinced her to roast again with Daddy

Still resisting the help a little...as you can see the fire is basically out by now

Jeff had his dad's truck all weekend filling in holes with dirt. The girls had a blast playing in Papa's truck every day

Madison taking Macey for a spin...look at that belly :)

Lunch Monday at Kay Kay and Neal's

Madison was intently telling Nae Nae what she was going to do at school the next day

Kay Kay pulling Macey, Merrill and Brady in the wagon

Madison and Merrill sometimes get mistaken for each other if you're not paying close attention...can't see why :)

Emery, Madison and Tori's turn for the wagon

I think Madison felt like a big girl getting to ride with the older cousins

The highlight of the afternoon, Kay Kay and a kid racing down the driveway in the wagon

Macey wanted Daddy to take her

Thanks Kay and Neal for a great afternoon!
