The girls are getting so fun. They are really liking playing together--for the most part. They have really started wrestling some, it is hilarious--poor Macey is always on the bottom.

Happy Birthday My Little Girlies!!!!
I can't believe our little girls are 1! It has gone by so fast--the last year has been such a blessing and definately a blur--glad I took a lot of pictures. Here's a monthly recap of the last year. I'll post the party pics as soon as I get a chance.

We've been enjoying the pretty fall weather lately.

Trunk-r-Treat
We went to two Trunk or Treats Wednesday night, one at Brentwood Hills and the other at Hillsboro so both sets of grandparents could see the girls who were dressed as little lambs. Tori wore one two years ago, and they still made the same costume so I had to buy only one which was nice. The girls had fun, were a little overwhelmed & not sure what to think of everything, and were totally worn out by the end of it, but they did great.

Fall
We've been enjoying the cooler weather lately. We had a fall class party last Saturday that the girls had so much fun with. This week Macey has been pretty sick so we've been dealing with that, and they're both teething so it's been a lot of fun around here lately. Madison has 4 teeth coming through right now, and Macey is working on her top two. I think we're all on the mend and can hopefully stay well for awhile. On a high note, Madison started really walking the past few days. She did her first long walk Thursday night and only myself & Uncle D witnessed it. Pops, Uncle D and myself were watching the girls--Jeff was out of town--and she decided to walk from Pops on the couch to me at the chair across the room. Pops was right there & missed it--he wasn't very happy. She's been going almost nonstop ever since--at least a few steps every time she lets go of a piece of furniture--it's so cute to see her toddling into the room with both her hands straight up which is how she holds them every time for balance. I'm sure Mace will catch on soon watching her--if she'd just stop walking on her tiptoes it would be much easier for her.
After a run one night. I thought they looked cute in their hoodies.

These are in the wrong order--sorry. This is they only way I could get them to stop fussing one Sunday morning so Jeff & I could get ready--to put on part of their Halloween costume--they think it's hilarious--so here's a sneek peek---hopefully they'll like having them on at Trunk or Treat!--Macey

11 Months!
I can't believe that my little babies are 11 months already! It has absolutely flown by and I can't remember life without our girls. It is so fun and so busy. I can't sit for long during the day because they don't stay in one place for very long. They love to play together and think each other are hilarious. They are getting better at sharing, but we're still working on it. They drink a bottle in the morning and at night, but only drink out of sippy cups during the day. They are not real picky eaters yet--I'm sure they will become more so. They love cheese quesadillas, waffles, pancakes, most veggies, and would only eat fruit all day if I let them. They both took their first steps at a party at Mimmy & Pops on the same night last week, so I'm sure they will be running soon! If only they took good naps---an hour is still about the max I get out of them at a time--occasionally they will pull an hour and a half or two hours, but it is a rarity--maybe when they start walking.
Maddie Leigh at 11 months has so much personality. She is crawling everywhere--she finally crawls up on her arms legs unless she needs to get there quicker then she drops to the army crawl. She chatters and laughs all day long. She thinks she's having a conversation with you. She loves her passy, still loves being held by her daddy. She wants to be walked everywhere & can stand for awhile on her own. Loves to take a few steps on her own so it won't be long now before she's walking. She is not quite as afraid of falling down, so will probably walk sooner. She likes to look through books--especially ones with animals in them. Is getting her top front teeth which will put her to 4 teeth altogether. She loves giving you her cheesy smile & laugh which is so cute.

Before we realized the passy was in for the picture
Macey Kate at 11 months is nonstop motion. This picture sums her up perfectly. She just loves life--as long as Mommy or Daddy is close by. She is still very clingy, but getting a little better. She loves to laugh and drawls it out till she has no more air in her lungs--it is hilarious. She crawls everywhere--fast. She wants to walk badly too, and still does it up on her tip-toes. She is talking more. She thinks it's hilarious when you do animal noises with her. She loves her piglet and chewing on piglet's ears. She constantly does her sneaky face with you. She is a little more tentative about falling & getting hurt, she loves to look through books-especially animal books.

September
Here are some pictures of what we've been up to this September--not too much. Finally enjoying being able to get outside!
Ignore me in this picture--I know it's awful, just wanted you to see how Jeff leaves us every morning--we go back to sleep after bottles for another hour or so--I'm going to hate when they don't want to do this anymore--it's my favorite part of the day--snuggling with my girls. (Macey, Madison)

We were having some electrical work done & they were working outside their bedroom so they took their nap in the pack and play in our room. I went in to check on them & watched as Macey crawled up on the already sleeping Madison, laid her head down on her back and went to sleep and Madison never budged--so sweet!

10 Months
The past ten months have absolutely flown by. We've had so much fun with our girls and their little (sometimes big) personalities come out more and more each day. It seems they learn something new everyday and want to communicate with us so badly. They definately know what they want. They are on mainly milk now which has gone very smoothly & so much cheaper than formula. They drink it out of a sippy cup fairly well, but still prefer their bottle. They love to eat--they will eat just about anything you put in front of them--not too picky yet. They are really fast army-crawlers and climb on everything. They love to follow me everywhere I go around the house to see what I'm doing. We've just been hanging out at the house lately playing and getting into everything.
Madison was playing with Daddy I think

Madison required a little more clean-up

Madison at 10 months still just has her two bottom teeth--starting to wonder if her top teeth are going to come in since she's had the bottom ones for 4 months now, crawls really fast, pulls up and walks around furniture, waves, loves to play peek-a-boo, thinks she's having a conversation when she talks to you, squeals when she wants something, when she's mad at Macey for taking something or wants what Macey has, squeals when she's excited--pretty much squeals nonstop. Has started liking Sunday school, eats all table food, drinks milk--sometimes out of a sippy cup, loves to give kisses and snuggle with you--still loves and prefers her daddy.
Macey at 10 months has just her two bottom teeth for 2 months now, crawls really fast--usually leads the duo on where to go around the house, waves, loves to laugh, eats tablefood, drinks milk--pretty good out of a sippy cup, loves to play peek-a-boo, clims on everythingt and walks around furniture, squeals mainly when excited or mad--not as much as Madison, loves to blow raspberries, do her sneaky face with you, used to love Sunday school, now hates it--is extremely attached to her mommy.

Daddy & Cars
We've had a great weekend with friends and playing outside in this great weather. Saturday was so nice, we finally put their cars that Mimmy, Pops, Uncle D, and Aunt Jessie got for an early birthday present together & they loved riding around in them. We were able to go out with the Sciortinos Saturday night, and Madison loved David. He would say, "Go Cats!" and she thought it was hilarious--they better not be her first words, D.A.
The girls are getting so cute when Jeff gets home from work. As soon as they hear his voice or see him, it's a race to who can get to him first. They both climb all over him laughing and squealing.

Home
We had a great trip to Mexico, but the girls are glad to be back at home--they love being at home playing, which is good--I'm a homebody too. They've been been playing with their toys, crawling, and climbing nonstop on all the furniture. Macey wants to walk so bad, she'll let go if you're not watching her. I think the trip got the best of Madison--she had 102 fever yesterday & was pretty pitiful. She would play for awhile, but mainly wanted to be laying with me on the couch. Luckily Macey was good and played by herself fine so I was able to cuddle with Madison when she wanted to. I think she is just run down by the travel--no fever this morning, but she's still a little whiny. Here's a few pics of them playing this week.

Los Cabos
We got back early Monday morning from a great trip to Los Cabos, Mexico with Jeff's family. Thanks for taking us BeBe & Papa! I was a little wary about the flights with the girls. They flew to Disney when they were four months old, but that's just 1 1/2 hours & they are more manageable at four months, but they did fine. Madison did great & I don't think she hardly whined or cried the whole trip except for naptime & bedtime. Macey was a little more of a challenge, but she was very good too considering all the changes. We had a great set up at the place we stayed for having four young kids. Our own little pool which was great. The weather was hot but sunny every day, so we were able to spend most of our days in the pool except for naptime. Macey & Madison loved watching & playing with their cousins Libby & Frances the whole time--they kept them quite entertained. The traveling going to Cabo was smooth sailing, the trip home was not so much, but we made it home after several delays, several blow-out diapers at the worst time possible (why is that always the case), and got in around 1:00 am and to bed at 2:00am. The girls have been sleeping in after an early morning bottle, so that's been extra nice. All in all we had a great time!
