Finally meeting Brooklyn

My good friend from high school, Ashley Ray Spann, was in town and brought her little girl Brooklyn to meet the girls. She also made the cutest baby bundle for my sister's baby Sam. Thanks for stopping by Bubba--Brooklyn is so cute!!!

Reese and Rylee came to play

Reese and Rylee came to play one day last week. Madison and Macey couldn't give them enough hugs and kisses and they loved it--it was too cute.

Macey got hold of a Sharpie marker one night before bed

Maddie Leigh looks so old in her pigtails

Madison loves to get her fingernails and toenails painted. I paint them on a puddle pad, and she sits there happily until I tell her it's o.k. to get up--I believe she's going to be a priss--she already is :)

Big Girl Bed!!!

Well, we've made the transition--no turning back now--my sister has one of the cribs for her little boy coming in September--thought I would make the transition before school started so there weren't too many changes at once. The girls spent their first night in their big girl bed Saturday night--July 24th. There had been both their cribs and their big girl bed in their room for about two weeks for them to play on and read on at night before bed to get used to it. They never shared a crib, but they are sharing a big bed which I think the'll love once they get used to it. There just wasn't enough room in their room for two beds. They've already had a lot of fun before going to sleep from what we watch on the video monitor--I'm going to try to set up the video camera one day and capture it on dvd. They did very well for them--they wake up around 5 anyways for some milk and then go back to sleep. The first night they slept til 4:30 so I consider that a success. Last night Madison didn't make a peep until 6:15 this morning--Macey however decided to cry at 12, 2:30, 4:30 and then 5:45. I had to talk to her from about 3:00-3:30 am to get her to go back to sleep. Maybe tonight she'll do better:)

Jeff reading to them before bed the last night in their cribs

Macey's last night in her crib

Madison's last night in her crib--as you can see the room was jammed for awhile--had to move her crib to get into their closet

First night in their big girl bed--their room is so much more open with just one bed instead of two cribs.

Plenty of room to grow in

Playdates!

We've been having fun this summer with playdates with friends. The girls are getting to be so fun to watch play. You can already see their imaginations working.

Reese and Rylee came to my parents' to swim one morning. They are such sweet girls and we're going to have so much fun with them over the years!

Yogurt, Baby Kathleen, Bunnies, and Dragons

We had a fun day at home yesterday with one of our favorite visitors--Kate and Baby Kathleen! They stopped by after the girls' nap while in town and the girls were very sweet with her.

Do you think Aunt Jessie is going to get a lot of "help" with Baby Sam this fall?

Macey patting Baby Kathleen's feet to make her stop crying

Madison is really into dressing up these days--we wear about 6 different pairs of shoes and change costumes constantly--she always wants Macey to play too--sometimes she reluctantly agrees--this face says it all.

My little Figment and Thumper--I told Macey if she sat beside sister for a picture she could take the costume off.

This is as much of the Thumper costume Macey was willing to put on
