Pulling Up

Well, they finally hit a milestone on the same day. They both pulled up this morning, and in typical fashion of their personalities, Madison was desperately trying to get herself out of bed, and Macey was playing. Madison has been crawling a lot more this week so let the fun begin!

Hey, I'm standing up!

I thought it was summer!

I thought it was supposed to be hot in July & your kids didn't get sick. Well, I guess not this summer. The weather has been fabulous, but our girls can't seem to get well. That's why I haven't had time to update the blog lately. Madison got a virus first about a month ago, then Macey got it, a much worse case, and we've been trying to beef her back up ever since. Now all three of us girls have colds...I don't know what the deal is, but I'm ready for us all to be well again. Anyways, the colds aren't affecting their moods quite like the virus at least. Jeff & I did get to get away for his cousins wedding in Dallas. It was hard leaving the girls, but it was nice to get some sleep since they haven't been sleeping well with all the sickness.

They have hit a few more milestones. Macey got her first two teeth while she was sick--the double whammy was NOT fun to deal with. She is also trying to follow me everywhere--she's getting pretty fast at crawling and loves to climb up me if I'm sitting on the floor with them. Madison has learned to put herself into the sitting position from her belly & likes going back & forth. She can belly-crawl, but still doesn't do much of it. She has also gotten good at feeding herself, and would eat Puffs, Cheerios or Mum-Mums all day if I let her. It's been very interesting how they have gone in different orders of learning to do things making each of them know how to do things the other one hasn't mastered yet.

8 Months

The girls are eight months old, so hard to believe. The talk gibberish up a storm & love to squeal & laugh. They can pat pat. Macey loves giving kisses, especially to Madison. Macey's first tooth finally popped through. She is crawling a lot more & exploring. Starting to follow where I go a little. Madison is getting better with the crawling, but still prefers to roll. We think she might be working on her top teeth because she has been extremely clingy & whiny lately. Madison loves to put things between her feet & kick them & they are both getting pretty good at going from a sitting position to on their belly. I think my life will really change the next month!

We went to Mimmy & Pops house for the 4th with everyone. I meant to take more pictures of people, but go busy. We had a great day. I'm still not used to blogger, the pictures are in the opposite order I wanted.

Summer Fun
